So, I asked ChatGBT to write one for me. Here it is:
When I was in high school, my parents made me learn how to play an instrument. This did not align with my fantasies of being a professional athlete. So, I begrudgingly picked up the guitar.
I learned some chords and started messing around with lyrics and melodies on the back porch of my childhood home after the rest of the family was asleep. This way, if the songs were bad (which most of them were), no one would ever know.
I moved to Nashville for college and quickly realized everyone who lived there also wrote songs - equal parts crippling, challenging and exciting.
Better songs started to surface, which led to playing shows. There were also a lot of co-writes. Some bad, some great. One of the songs ended up on a bunch of TV shows.
I quit for awhile because, well.... life.
I'm now attempting to shake off the dust by writing songs, dreaming up new projects, and looking to surround myself with people who want to do the same.
I also the tallest member of a Kansas City-based holiday band called The Snow Globes and an acoustic duo named this & that.
